Gelli plate printmaking!

6 days of instruction · All materials provided

Capture the beauty of foraged botanicals, surprise yourself with marks made from recycled materials, and explore layering colors and textures. Gelli plate printing is an accessible, fun, and spontaneous approach to creating one-of-a-kind prints without a press.

We’ll kick off the week teaching you the basics of gelli plate printing: how to ink your plate, creating a design with foraged botanicals, pulling your first print, and pulling a second (ghost) print. Each day we’ll demonstrate new techniques and materials to help you explore masks, stencils, stamps, and layering. Students will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of materials, get comfortable with the process, and create multiple monoprints.

We’ll close out the week with an exhibition of your prints on the inn porch.

No experience necessary… only willingness to show up and see what happens.
